BOARD MEETING

BOARD MEETING MINUTES
NBYC Board Meeting Minutes
Thursday, June 6, 2024, 7:30 PM EST at NB Oak Hill Vets
Attendees: Voting Board Members
Called to order: 7:35PM
Board Report:
-Last meetings minutes read by Secretary Ty Garlington & Haley Allison
We would like someone from each squad to attend the meetings, starting next month it will be required for a representative from each squad to be present, in order to give a report of how their team is doing.
• When collecting money from your teams for bows, anything, they must now be in an envelope with the names of each girl on the front and the amounts. And then turned into the Board.
• Pictures will possibly be inside, they will be done by Photography by James.
• the Board, The President Alexis would like to remind everyone that we are an OPEN door, open communication organization. We know that Brittani is super busy, so if there is something that needs to be addressed or handled, we encourage reaching out to Alexis, or another person on the Board to help.
• The candles were not late. Reminder that the turn around times are never when the parents turn in, but when the Organization turns them in. We had a few checks bounce as well as Chestnut Hill had a family emergency that caused them to be shut down for a few days. As well as major storms and tornados were going on as well. We thank everyone for their patience!
• Team Moms are to remain at the gate at St. Monica's 15 minutes before practice starts as well as 15 minutes after practice ends, to ensue that no child is left outside or left behind.
• We want to reiterate that we have a strict, no tolerance, bullying or fighting policy! That goes for the athletes and especially for the adults that are in authority positions. We want every parent to feel welcomed. No one should feel out of place, or discouraged, as this is a new organization and we ALL are learning. We need to extend grace to everyone. This is a learning experience for everyone!
• Coaches should be starting conditioning with the athletes. Kaylin and Ty demonstrated the "push up, sit up routine" that should be done at the beginning of every practice with stretching.
• Conditioning right now is huge! We need to start building these athletes, and getting them ready physically to be the best athletes they can be.
• Midgets and Twerps need Jr. Coaches
• If a coach is not coming to practice, or if anyone on the staff of your squad is not attending, Brittani and/ the Board needs to know so that Brittani can have a new Jr. Coach as a replacement.
